I seem to think I had a bottle of that stuff a few years ago, and came away with much the same impression - it's main attraction was the price, I believe, but we ended up using 1/2 of it for cooking. Still, I do rather miss having a Trader Joe's nearby for affordable plonk.

@George-K said in 16% White: [image: 1705190068450-image.jpeg] US Population: 13% Black 60% White 19% Latino 7% Asian Probably a more realistic view of the pipeline would be the population of 18 year olds, which would skew less white. Probably a tad over 50%.

She’s director of music at Pembroke College Cambridge so she probably has access to a decent instrument

@George-K said in Staycation Dinner: I've given up on the reverse sear because Mrs. George's hockey puck and my medium rare are conflicted. OTOH, I do have an air fryer that I could use for her steak...hmmmm. OTOOH, I really like the no-spatter non-stick slow-cook steak. I really liked the steak. Was able to get the exact temperature that I wanted and the crust was fantastic. The problem was taking up the oven for 45 minutes at 250… The Brussels need 20 minutes at 425… Also, I want to use the the searing pan for cooking the mushrooms and onions. It works well with the normal method, but the reverse sear steak should go from the sear to the plate… No rest.

That’s debatable. There are elements of both.

2 teams locking up with offensive line and defensive line trying to push each othe 3-4 yards in a snowy and blustery field? That’s what football is supposed to be. But no, the NFL thinks there’s not enough money in that. This postponement has me so pissed.

I recall hearing or reading about the weather station in the news years ago. Given the location it’s no surprise no one noticed or paid any attention to it. Newfoundland and Labrador were not part of Canada until 1949.

I've told y'all before about almost getting onboard with a start-up company using urban sewage to make diesel fuel. At that time, the engineers figures $70/barrel was the break-even point.
